We are seeking an experienced lending manager with a passion for building teams, creating efficiencies, and leveraging technology. You are agile, open minded, approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to roll your sleeves up and get the job done. You have the drive and the vision to meet and exceed both personal and company goals.
  • Act as a resource to the team for escalations, questions, and exceptions
  • As a Lending Manager (Front End) you will manage, drive, and scale the team of Loan Processors, UWI (Bridge/EAL) and UWII/UWIII (credit underwriters), communicating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly team and company goals, ensuring expectations of the team are met and exceeded
  • Assist Head of Lending with identifying gaps in process and policy within the processing and underwriting functions. Once gaps are identified, write process, procedure and policy changes for review, training and implementation. Follow up to ensure new process/policy/procedures are adopted and functioning
  • Maintain accountability for performance by documenting discussions in Bamboo/15Five as well as instilling responsibility to perform at a high level
  • Work closely with the sales, closing & post-closing teams to provide timely and accurate service to all
  • Proactively manage the mortgage underwriting pipeline, providing coaching and feedback to the underwriters
  • You will innovate new and better ways to do things in order to meet company KPI’s
  • Proactively manage and scale Processing services with internal employees and 3rd party vendor/contractor when needed
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as they arise & always be willing to support your team where they need you
  • Proactively manage the mortgage processing pipeline, providing coaching and feedback to the loan processing team
  • Establish best practices to ensure the team function is running efficiently by identifying and executing changes to the process flow as needed
  • Continually learn, grow, and expand your knowledge, while also supporting others learning experiences; act as a mentor and be a resource for others inside and outside of your team
  • Cultivate a culture of camaraderie and teamwork through team meetings as well as 1:1 check-ins
  • Load balance as necessary in order to meet company SLA’s
Qualifications - You’ll Bring:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years being in a leadership role
  • Have proven success working 100% remote in prior positions & are experienced working with a distributed, national team
  • You’ve communicated and partnered with customers in a remote environment
  • Experience in managing mortgage Loan Processing and Underwriting

  • Education: High school or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA and Conventional mortgage products and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac policies and guidelines; Regulatory Mortgage Compliance, state, federal, local government, private investors and insurers
  • You are someone who is obsessed with providing amazing customer service; you go above and beyond and strive to ‘wow’ the customer, always

  • Attention to detail is your middle name: You triple-check your work, have a fine-eye for small details, and ensure that the work you do is consistently accurate

Our Compensation Philosophy: As a fully remote (U.S.-based) workforce, our goal is to ensure that all Knockstars are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act for Colorado applicants. The salary range estimate for this position is: $106,000 - $136,300 + company incentive plan (bonus) USD.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. The company also reserves the right to amend or modify this job description, employee perks, and benefits at any time. Employees eligible for bonus and/or commission will be provided details in the offer letter.
