Summary
The Legal Department for LG Electronics USA Inc. (LGEUS) has an open position for a Legal Assistant and Billing Coordinator to support the department in the Company’s Englewood Cliffs, NJ Headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the LGEUS Legal Department
- Prepare and manage state annual report filings for various LG entities in the US; serve as CSC Matter Management administrator
- Plan and arrange domestic and international travel itineraries and accommodations
- Maintain service of process (SOP) log and distribute SOP as needed
- Maintain accurate calendars with an understanding of prioritizing important deliverables
- Support Department special projects
- Process and distribute mail
- Process outside counsel and other legal vendor invoices; prepare monthly reports for invoices, budgets, and accruals with minimal supervision
- Process department expenses and manage expense budgets (e.g. meals, travel, and other business costs)
- Prepare documents, including correspondence and presentations
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills and highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient ability to detect errors and must be a team player
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent reading and comprehension skills
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years (5 years without degree) or more of relevant experience
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work with tight timelines
- Willingness to learn and become proficient with proprietary LG systems
- Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department desired but not required
