Job Description

SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Employment and Labor Law- Legal Assistant, to help support Employment and Labor law matters. The ideal candidate must have strong legal research skills and the ability to prioritize multiple task with minimal direction. Experience navigating federal and state courts is required.
Essential Functions
  • Provides general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and making travel arrangements
  • Collects, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
  • Provides substantive and stylistic editing for a range of internal and external legal documents
  • Monitors on-going matter activity and pending deadlines in litigation and transactional matters.
  • Serves as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and the firm.
  • Draft correspondence, memos, letters, etc. for respective employment and labor attorneys and/or paralegals
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Education And Experience
  • Deep knowledge andexpertise in employment and labor laws onfederal, local and state level
  • Minimum of 1- 3 years’ experience a working in employment and labor law matters
  • Law firm experience preferred
