About The Opportunity


  • Your role is to oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations as well as assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs
  • The largest secretariat in the commonwealth of Massachusetts located in downtown Boston is currently looking for an efficient Leaves and Benefits Specialist
  • The company is responsible for the Medicaid program, child welfare, public health, disabilities, veterans’ affairs, and elder affairs


Leaves And Benefits Specialist Responsibilities


  • Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave
  • Assisting with the benefits enrollment process, making changes, assistance with benefit problems and claims as needed
  • Prepares or reviews the accuracy of benefit transactions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules


Leaves And Benefits Specialist Qualifications


  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • 1-2+ years of HR or leaves/benefits experience required
  • Any PeopleSoft, Taleo, or related program highly preferred
