Mai Soli Foundation is a United States-based nonprofit organization that seeks to level the playing field for girls in developing countries through empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship. This is accomplished by leveraging local communities of mentors and teachers at partner schools to unlocks potential in girls and steer them away from pathways to financial dependency and child marriage. Mentors are developed through a fellowship program offered by the foundation to empower multiple generations of female leaders in the community simultaneously. Mai Soli Foundation is constantly growing, implementing and developing plans to incorporate new schools, cities, regions, and approaches to solving the issue at hand. Presently, efforts are being focused in Bangladesh for the pilot program in Chittagong.

The Learning Strategy Coordinator is a part-time, unpaid position, that leads all learning and curriculum related projects in Mai Soli Foundation. The backbone of our organization is the ability to deliver relevant and constantly evolving learning material, in conjunction with direct mentorship and hands on activities. This position is given the opportunity to reimagine how and what the young girls in our program learn. Work done in this position has directly led to changes in the fellowship programming, child marriage prevention programming, and general program structure, making this a high-impact role in the fight to end child marriage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and suggest new learning areas to evolve how and what is taught in each program, along with new teaching modalities, activities, and ordering of material
• Oversee the planning and structure of the Fellowship Program model (aimed at the university-aged mentors who coach the girls in our core program)
• Curate and adjust the delivery of content in the Girls Empowerment Program (aimed at the young girls at risk for child marriage)
• Review ongoing feedback from the Mai Soli Foundation team in Bangladesh regarding learning successes and improvement areas
