Job Description

Salary Range: $69,073 - $94,975 (DOE)

Summary and Qualifications:

Administration of Banfield's Learning Management System and related learning technologies, partnering with Information Technology (IT), People & Organization (P&O), and Mars Veterinary Heath (MVH) systems to ensure operational effectiveness while maintaining data accuracy.

Support of Banfield's Learning and Development programs.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • Validate, analyze, review, and respond to support requests. Assess program and reporting needs, creating ad hoc reports when necessary.
  • Partner internally and externally to support program initiatives.
  • Gather, validate, articulate, and test functional requirements.
  • Facilitate training both live and virtually.
  • Work independently and as a team to support program establishment, longevity, updates, and success as assigned.
  • Meet with leadership and work teams to identify simple and efficient processes and procedures, and document them appropriately.
  • Track and incorporate knowledge of the business in technical decisions; adjust timelines to synchronize with seasonal trends, financial performance and Banfield's unique learning environment.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects; contributing to large projects, breaking down processes and coordinating work with others while meeting goals and measuring results, utilizing an organized and thoughtful approach in scoping and delivering work, understanding dependencies on others, and completing projects on time.
  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Ensure the most effective use of the current LMS and analyze system trends; contribute suggestions and recommendations for its improvement.
  • Manage Learning Management System (LMS) administering learning curriculum, system changes, configurations, issues, upgrades, Mars and vendor relationships and business communications.

Special Working Conditions:

  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Environment where pets are present.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Four years of experience in Learning Technologies, Learning and Development, and/or similar area are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Strong skill level and background in technical issue resolution, delivering world-class customer service and data analysis are required.
