Description

SAIC is seeking an Exchange Systems Administrator to support a large federal government agency. This shift is an evening shift and is Sunday-Thursday. There may be an option to work 4 day 10 hour shifts on Sunday-Wednesday. The position may allow temporary hybrid remote work due to Covid-19. Position may be called back onsite at any time at the customer's request.

This role requires some onsite work and hands-on experience with Outlook & Exchange.

Description of Duties

  • Provide technical support for backup systems (Avamar and CommVault).
  • Monitor ticketing system to receive technical work assignments and resolve within the SLA.
  • Troubleshoot email routing/delivery issues.
  • Complete shift logs and turnover.
  • Perform server builds and decommissions.
  • Reply to all customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers with PST mapping modify/restore.
  • Perform basic system administration on Exchange 2016/2019 email systems.
  • Monitor systems consoles and remediate alerts.
  • Fulfill user requests for technical issues relating to email account management and MS Teams following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Correct user Outlook issues: setup, junk mail, and mailbox size increase. Add/modify Outlook shared calendar.
  • Document issues and escalate to next tier support as necessary.
  • Add/delete/modify Distribution Lists.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

  • Ability to work independently to process technical service requests using an enterprise ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
  • One or more of the following: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or other relevant certifications.
  • Understanding of basic concepts relating to Cloud environments as well as TCP/IP based networking concepts.
  • Basic literacy in Microsoft PowerShell, Exchange, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
  • Proficient in following standard operating procedures and comply with data entry standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting challenging technical issues and identifying scope of issue to determine if escalation to next-tier support is necessary.
  • AA Degree in related discipline and one year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience.

Required Clearance

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Active Secret or TS is preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation or ISO20000 experience.
  • Documentation and SOPs.
  • M365 or Cloud related certifications.
  • Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
