- This role will assess, design, implement, and support ongoing learning and development programs.
- Appling tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Working independently under general supervision, this job develops and delivers web-based and in-person professional development programs, and provides effective uses of technology in all modes of instruction.
- Develops engaging learning activates and course materials that improves retention and transfer of knowledge.
- Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Developing and edit learning material and content
- Determining evaluation criteria
- Developing instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools
- Collaborate with SMEs to create engaging training course content and learning activities that enhance the learning process by:
- Areas of training include, but are not limited to, technical and soft skill training
- Conduct skills gap analyses and assess learning needs
- Designing detailed educational curriculum, including dates, topics and number of hours required per course
- Working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and identifying target audience’s training needs
- This job also serves as a consultant and resource to leaders in directing program development needs and provides learning programs through various methods.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Required Skills:
- Familiar with website design, video technology and editing
- Curriculum and experience planning skills
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Great networking and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in the creation & design of instructional materials for adult education and/or corporate training
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as an Instructional Designer preferred.
- Experience in customized, thoughtful, creative Learning Experiences beyond basic eLearning.
- Ability to effectively present complex technical and soft-skill concepts through design and visuals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Foundational knowledge of Instructional Design principles and adult learning theory.
- Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods
