Digital Designer - Video editing and web designer

Full time-Hybrid remote ( Midland Michigan) 3-4 times per month in office.

Our client , a fast growing Marcomm Agency , is looking for an in-house digital designer with 4+ years of experience in

professional design, specifically video editing/motion graphics and web design. The role

is in Midland, MI and is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a

results-oriented and dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which

demonstrates their passion for producing videos, websites, email templates, social

media graphics, brand campaigns and motion graphics.

Web Designer Job Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of design projects.
• Produce design assets for use in social media and marketing channels.
• Develop and maintain consistent branding.
• Design page layouts and templates.
• Utilize data and analytics in making design decisions.

Web Designer Qualifications/Skills:

• Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Awareness of UI/UX principles.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch.
• Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in a wide variety of formats.
• Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography.
• Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment.

Video Editing Job Responsibilities:

• Produce high-end videos for web, digital, broadcast, virtual and live events.
• Serve as lead creator for video and motion graphics projects—from small socialmedia and website animations to full scripted videos.
• Analyze a project’s script and visualize an execution that incorporates animatedgraphics and/or video elements.

Video Editing Qualifications/Skills:

• Strict attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines.
• Proficient understanding of how audio, motion, and raw video can come together to tell a compelling story.
• Self-starter, independent thinker, highly responsible.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Expert understanding of best practices and design principles and concepts such as easing, layering, keyframes, transitions and more.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro).
• One to three years of professional design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Portfolio of strong creative work.
