About the Job:

The People Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating leadership training programs for Taco Bell field teams. They will drive impact across multiple channels of the Taco Bell business by making important decisions related to people and leadership development processes, content, and delivery best practices that move the department and the brand forward. The role will involve working closely with the brand's leadership team and other key stakeholders to identify areas where training is needed and designing/developing customized training programs to enhance Taco Bell's coach capability. They will also be responsible for facilitating the training sessions, measuring the effectiveness of the training, and making recommendations for improvement. Success in this role looks like enhancing brand people development practices, inspiring behavior change across multiple brand levels, and influencing a return on training investment.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Design, develop, facilitate, and maintain leadership and organizational development training programs that are tailored to the brand's specific needs and objectives. The development programs may include classroom training, online training, on-the-job training, and other forms of learning using a variety of training techniques and methods, such as case studies, role-playing, experiential activities, simulations, etc.
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to draw conclusions, deliver feedback, and provide recommendations to multiple cross-functional stakeholders across the brand.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, with sister brands, and international partners to develop training and development processes that will increase consistency, improve execution, and positively impact return on investment.
  • Collaborate with the brand's leadership team and global cross functional partners to identify training needs and make decisions in projects that will benefit the brand's leadership development practices.
  • Measure the effectiveness of the training programs by collecting feedback from the trainees and tracking performance metrics to determine whether the training has resulted in improved leadership skills and behaviors.
  • Obtain, organize, or develop training/development support resources such as training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, across multiple channels of the business (equity, franchise, license, and multi-branded restaurants).
  • Responsible for reviewing evaluation recommendations and adapting training/development programs based on evaluation to improve the training programs effectiveness and relevancy.
  • Effectively and successfully managing multiple projects at one time, while achieving project goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Works directly with 3rd party vendors as needed to drive leadership development initiatives.
  • Responsible for deploying training cohorts, including sending calendar invites, training communication, participant reminders, learner tracking, reporting, class planning, printing materials, etc.

Is This You?

  • Experience: Prior experience in training and development, human resources, organizational development, I/O psychology, instructional design, or a related field. Previous QSR, hospitality, or retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of leadership theories and practices, adult learning principles, and training program design and delivery.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, as well as strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects.
  • Abilities: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, with work independently, and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to think strategically, and a demonstrated track record of implementing scalable training solutions that meet current business needs. Ability to travel to different markets in the field to deliver training classes to brand leaders (20-40% travel)
  • Education: Bachelor's and at least 5 years of experience, Master's and at least 3 years of experience, or Doctorate and no years of experience.

Salary Range $82,400 to $117,590 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
