Paradise Valley Country Club- Lead Valet
SUMMARY: As a Lead Valet Parking Driver, your primary responsibility is greeting, parking and retrieving member/guest vehicles. Responsible for welcoming members/guests, assisting with members' apparatus providing directions, and any other member-related assistance. Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any security or safety problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide leadership for the Service Valets in the areas of safety, training, and customer service.
- Check Service Valets, focusing on safety, quality control, and productivity.
- Assist Manager with training Service Valets.
- Communicate with the Manager concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, and other maintenance problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Valet Manager.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of the Paradise Valley Country Club.
- Review parking areas for trash, and walk/track problems on the property; document and report all property non-compliance.
- Responsible for parking vehicles for Club Members and guests to provide a convenient, quick, and efficient Member service.
- Assist the Manager with coordinating work schedules, evaluating job performance, and motivating service Valets.
- Operates assigned vehicles safely and efficiently and obeys all traffic and driving regulations observing speed limits and traffic signs. Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and maintained.
- It uses a system to park all cars. Assess and document any vehicle damage before taking possession and safely park vehicles quickly and on time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Has knowledge and experience of Arizona driving laws.
- Ability to operate a vehicle (manual or automatic) using safe driving practices.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written English proficiency, and the ability to perform physical activities such as running, lifting, and bending.
- Able to analyze situations quickly and determine if any action needs to be taken.
- Ability to have good response control and reaction time to quickly respond to movements, signals, lights, sounds, incidents, and any changes.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to show courtesy, friendliness, respect, and a helpful attitude.
- Must have a current Arizona valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Possess strong leadership qualities to delegate and supervise responsibilities with the team.
Education and/or Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent in addition to 4+ years of valet services (Hospitality and/or Club experience environment preferred).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Arizona driver’s license and a good driving record
