We are currently in search of a highly skilled Lead Security & Ops Engineer in the healthcare sector, with a primary focus on service delivery and project management. Your role will involve overseeing the successful execution of projects and ensuring the efficient delivery of services to safeguard sensitive healthcare data.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective service delivery of security solutions, addressing user requirements and optimizing operational efficiency
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of security and identity systems, processes, and service providers, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Lead and manage security and identity related projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading and successfully delivering large enterprise projects
  • Excellent fundamental understanding of IT Operations
  • Proven solid leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred location: Colorado Springs, CO, Dallas, TX, Hartford, CT, Pittsburgh, PA, Boulder, CO, Houston, TX, Nashville, TN, Tampa, FL, Eden Prairie, MN, Phoenix, AZ, St. Louis, MO
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Security or Operations with a focus on the healthcare sector
  • Excellent understanding of network security protocols and technologies
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards in the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
