Position Summary


Amylyx is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced individual to join our fast-paced team as a Lead, Procurement Operations. This newly created position will be part of a growing Procurement department and responsible for Procurement Operations and Purchasing. Working directly for the Head of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing, the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as previous experience in a global commercial life sciences organization.


Responsibilities


  • Manages alignment of contracted terms and conditions with Purchase Orders and Vendor master data
  • Owns the end-to-end global Purchase Order Management process for services and goods, including training and supporting internal stakeholders, issuing Purchase Orders to vendors, tracking order status, resolving invoice discrepancies, and closing out Purchase Orders.
  • Ensures compliance with Amylyx policies and procedures as well as adherence to SOX controls
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Leads report generation and Purchasing data analysis to provide insights to Head of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing that support decision-making
  • Oversees training documentation and communication of Procurement policies, processes and practices to educate business partners
  • Spearheads continuous improvement efforts in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process and implements solutions to streamline and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and appropriate approvals, e.g. introduction of new programs such as P-card, etc.


Requirements


  • Project Management experience desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Hands-on team player and fast learner with great time management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Purchasing principles, processes, and practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Experience working in Procurement function with focus on purchasing services for 8+ years, ideally for life sciences/pharmaceutical companies in a GxP environment
  • Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree
