Summary:
In this role, you will provide health information management and reporting expertise to the data analytics and science methodologies team. You will be instrumental in the development, enhancements, and implementation of complex data sets and reporting structures for the suite of Vizient data products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to others in quality metric concept, design, and definition across multiple reports and data products including the establishment of rules for data quality/quality scoring.
- Lead, creates, and executes analytic projects within specific business domains or across multiple, same domain data products.
- Collaborate with analytic and clinical staff in the development of specialized lexicons to support Vizient data analytics and reporting.
- Assist product owners for designated Vizient reports and metric definitions; this includes all associated product support such as methodology, definitions documents, FAQs, and internal and member education.
- Participate in the Vizient Analyst Certification program as an instructor and mentor.
- Comply with regulatory requirements of coding classifications and reimbursement methodologies to data usage and reporting.
- Maintain proficiency in American Hospital Association (AHA) Coding Clinics, AHA Coding Clinic for Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Assistant, and official guidelines for coding and reporting.
- Provide subject matter support in enhancing risk adjustment, complication, AHRQ, HAC, POA, service lines and other methodologies or algorithms developed using health care claims data.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis (SAS, SQL, Python etc.) required.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Vizient clinical data products a plus.
- 7 or more years of relevant work experience required.
- Ability to analyze data, synthesize information, and transfer knowledge required.
- Strong verbal, written skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Relevant degree preferred in healthcare; advanced degree desired.
- AHIMA or AAPC coding (CCS or CPC) or clinical documentation integrity certification (CDIP or CCDS) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of CMS and other external outcome and quality metrics (i.e., AHRQ, US News, Leap Frog etc.) required.
- RHIA certificated preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
$102,400.00 - $152,200.00This position is also incentive eligible.
