Lead Data Analyst Jobs

Large Retail Organization is in the process of migrating its on-premise data assets into Snowflake and are seeking a Lead Data Analyst.

Background: Lead Data Analyst will exhibit strong technical skills with matching business acumen to help with the transition. Lead Data Analyst will build data processes and tools that will enable Analytical teams to make data driven business decisions both accurately and efficiently.

What Will You Do:

• Support forecasting and variance analysis initiatives and effectively communicate findings to strategy partners
• Create controls and validations in financial models, data processes, dashboards
• Migrate Enterprise machine learning models from on-prem servers into Snowflake, review existing code and optimize queries for efficient runtime
• Develop and maintain tools to support reporting and analytics including: data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and technical processes
• While holding a technical role, exhibit strong business acumen and provide basic analysis and analytics to strategic business partners
• Analyze existing data processes, blend data from multiple sources, proactively implement process improvements to serve the data needs of Analytic teams

Responsibilities/Experience:

• MUST have strong SQL skills
• Bachelors / Master’s degree
• 4+ years of experience mining and analyzing data, using it to provide strategic recommendations on analysis performed
• Highly engaged and analytical to solve complex business questions
• Self-starter, passion for data process enhancements and code optimization to serve Analytic team needs
• Snowflake, Python, BI tools (Tableau / Power BI) are a NICE to have
