AMMA is a globally advanced materials company which develops and manufactures super high-end CCL (Copper Clad Laminate) for the next-generation high-speed communication business field. AMMA provides high value add products of dielectric substrates for high frequency electronics such as, 5G, Automotive Radar, High Speed Telecom, and Aerospace & Avionics Radar/Communication industries.


Summary


Plan, coordinate, and perform experiments including chemical, physical, electrical, and mechanical tests in support of AGC Multi Material America, Inc. R&D, Field Service, Sales, Production, and Marketing efforts. Analyze, interpret, evaluate, and report test data generated. Assist in method development, problem solving, data evaluation, and technical report writing.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Accurately record observations during experiments. Maintain a laboratory notebook as a legal record and document of R&D activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Generate technical reports summarizing work performed and results obtained.
  • Make suggestions for safety, process, material, and testing improvements.
  • Utilize knowledge of chemistry and materials to analyze, understand, interpret, and evaluate test data generated.
  • Communicate experimental detail information both verbally and legibly written to R&D analytical lab manager, as well as other members of the R&D group.
  • Assist with trials on experimental, pilot scale, or production equipment to evaluate new materials, new product designs, and/or process modifications as directed.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform materials characterization, including chemical, physical, electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Interface with R&D, quality control, production, technology, shipping, sales and marketing, customers, and equipment vendors as required.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance, minor repairs, calibrations, and verifications of analytical equipment.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required, must always operate in a safe manner and notify the R&D analytical lab manager of unsafe situations. Assist in development, review, and documentation of safety procedures. Participate in group and site safety activities.
  • Utilize analytical instrumentation [Ion migration evaluation system, Differential scanning calorimetry, thermomechanical analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis, rheometer, etc.] and other equipment’s as required.
  • Assist in material and process troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Perform non-routine specialized testing on materials and products as directed. Assist in development of new test methods as required for product/material characterization.
  • Assist in development and documentation of test methods as required for product/material characterization.


Required Skills And Qualifications


  • Experience working in a chemical or analytical laboratory is desired.
  • Intermediate algebra.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of excel and word processing software.
  • This position requires a minimum of one to two years at community college with course work in Chemistry or physical sciences.
  • Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate, read and comprehend standard operating procedures.


Language Skills


The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in the English language is required for all roles.


Required Safety Equipment/Training (all Jobs)


AGC follows all required OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standard industry guidelines in-regards to the use of personal protective equipment and safety training required for the specific job function.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS (All production, facilities, engineering, shipping/receiving, quality/inspection, and lab positions.)


  • Ability to Stand, walk, sit, use of hands to handle, feel, or grasp objects, tools, or controls.
  • Climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
  • Reach and lift with hands and arms; lift/move/carry objects up to 25 lbs. in weight.
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • Ability to talk and hear for safety on the production floor.
  • Visual ability to see things in close vision, distance vison, color vision, peripheral vison, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as needed.


PAY


$18-20/hr


WORK SCHEDULE/OVERTIME


Overtime as required. Business hours.
