Provides customers both external and internal (trade sales) with product and service information to assist them in their remodeling or new construction projects. Recommends products and services to meet customer needs, on kitchen sales. Prepare detailed drawings for kitchen layout, using existing blueprints. Do on site measurements to ensure accuracy. Processes sales orders from beginning to end, making appropriate arrangements for delivery and installation. Oversee all aspects of job from concept to installation. Liaise with factory for final drawings and ordering. Obtains and works on relevant databases, organizing and implementing mailing programs, for the support of the Kitchen sales area.
Essential Duties:
- Process sale orders and provide oversight of entire project from design to installation
- Prepare detailed drawing of designed kitchen, using blueprints, builder and manufacturer specifications
- Do on site measuring of layout to assist in drawing plans
- Assist customers in their remodeling or new construction and purchasing decisions of kitchens
General Description:
- Take part in training and development programs to keep abreast of company and market information.
- Receive and process cash instruments in settlement of showroom sales.
- Prepare expense reports as necessary.
- Document and process customer service complaints, liaising with department and factory managers as necessary
- Introduce, demonstrate, promote and sell kitchen cabinetry for residential and commercial new construction and renovation projects.
- Handle customer complaints and problems.
- Conduct proactive customer service and follow up on orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Manage overflow from other showroom personnel.
- Schedule and visit customers to support, close or service kitchen sales.
- Help maintain, update and design showroom kitchen displays, exhibitors and merchandising programs.
- Manage product returns, deliveries and pick-ups with regards to existing project
- Assist customers in determining product/service needs/applications and provide assistance in design and inquiries.
- Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding kitchen terms of sale and delivery
- Monitor and analyze customer sales and margins.
- Organize and carry out mailings and monitor kitchen advertising campaigns for effectiveness.
- Attend trade shows and maintain/update customer databases as needed.
- Coach junior kitchen design sales personnel and impart training as necessary.
- Design kitchen using Porcelanosa cabinetry and products.
- Enter customers, sales orders and other information necessary to complete sales transactions.
- Gather data on product/service tastes and trends exhibited by kitchen buyers in the showroom as required.
- Prepare designs, drawings and other deliverables for customers.
- Prepare sales and other reports and analysis as necessary.
General Requirements:
- Experience with Plan-It or AutoCAD software.
- 5-7 years in kitchen design and sales preferred.
- Requires some local traveling
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and versatility to operate different software packages.
- Communication skills are required.
- Experience with European metric conversions to US standard.
- Phone/ customer visit etiquette & commitment to finding solutions for customers.
