Armstrong Steel is currently looking for a Kentex Operator -This is an immediate opening opportunity and are actively seeking qualified candidates. Occupational Family: Manufacturing Reports To: Plant Superintendent Summary: Using sub-arc welder, the operator welds the main beam together using correct welder setting to achieve the correct size weld according to Work Procedure Standards as defined by IAS. Essential Functions: Read blueprints Make sure main frame parts are correctly assembled. Adjust the sub arc welder to ensure it welds the frame correctly. As the welding machine moves down the beam, the operator watches and monitors the machine. Uses crane to load and unload the Kentex machine. Must possess 1/2 years of basic welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must possess an understanding of shop math, blue print reading, welding symbols, beam assembly, general welding knowledge and general shop practice. Must have excellent attention to detail and should be focused and accurately understand quality assurance requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the Kentex Laborers. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment. Noise volume varies from loud to normal. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50-75 lbs Walking 75% Standing 100% Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Occasional OT required Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Benefits, 401(k) with up to 4% match, PTO and holidays.
