Keeper, Invertebrates Jobs

Responsibilities: Daily animal care of a diverse collection of terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates (mostly arthropods) within the Invertebrate Unit. Exhibit maintenance, public presentations, research and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required with preference given to applicants with a four-year college degree completed or in progress in an animal-related field. Good observational and record-keeping skills regarding animal well-being are important. Entomology experience desired. Strong interest in invertebrates is essential. Must have an interest in creative display work and a friendly demeanor for communicating with the public and Zoo staff. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.
