Junior Software Developer In Test

About the Role:

As a founding member of an international QA team for a new product that is being integrated into the Intermedia UCaaS portfolio, you will drive the smooth user experience and guarantee reliability for our enterprise offering. You will apply the latest in test tools and processes to a recently developed, fully featured React/Typescript frontend and ASP.NET 6 micro-service backend, having to analyse, segment and execute the testing to ensure a stable, user-friendly product release.

What You'll Do:

• Liaise closely with Development / QA team colleagues to triage and resolve issues / explore updates and modifications / ideas
• Document, report, and track software defects as well as create test scenarios and support of test documentation using Jira
• Be involved in story refinement and other agile ceremonies
• Design, develop and perform both automated and manual testing of backend/UI, including exploratory testing
• Autonomously manage and maintain multiple QA projects
• Analyze product design and requirements specifications and translate them into a detailed, methodical testing strategy
• Debugging and maintenance of automation tests as a result of application evolution across all projects

What you bring to the table:

• Experience with automation testing (Selenium)
• Experience working on projects using Agile methodology
• 2+ years of commercial QA Engineering experience
• API testing (Postman / Swagger)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Methodical approach to structured test planning

Bonus Experience:

• A firm grasp of source control management, build processes, test environments, bug life cycle, and frequent code release deployment QA support activities
• Ability to analyse existing functionality and break it down into features that in turn can be split up into testable stories
• Automation testing with C# .NET platform
• Experience in application load testing
• Test Management & traceability software (e.g. Xray, Zephyr)
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases and Elastic Search
• Understanding of a microservice software architecture and how data flows through a system
• CI configuration and maintenance experience (TeamCity, Gitlab CI, other)
