• Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah
• Contract Length: 12 months with opportunity to extend/permanent hire

What’s the role?

• Our Client, one of the world’s leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm, are seeking Junior Operations Specialists. The Junior Operations Specialist will support either the Credit Derivatives or Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations divisions. Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow. Junior Operations Specialists joining Operations teams will be on the front-line of the division enabling all of the firm’s businesses. This includes taking an active role in the life-cycle of each deal, trade or transaction.

• Operations and financial services knowledge are preferable
• Strong client service orientation
• Able to execute day-to-day activities to a high standard
• Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
• 0 – 3 years’ professional experience
• Prudent in escalating potential risk to the Firm
• Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
• Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
