  • The position to be filled is a Junior IT Risk Analyst.
  • As the First line of Defense, we manage IT risks through conducting various information technology risk assessments within our services.
  • We work closely with Technology, ORM and lines of businesses.
  • We provide First Line-of-Defense Risk Management support for the technology dept.
  • Some of the assessments performed by us include technology risk, cyber risk, application criticality, application controls, infrastructure controls, project risks and risk exception assessments.

Summary:

  • Exposure to an IT development environment in a financial industry is beneficial.
  • Experts to understand each of their processes and the application they support and be able to document run books, provide metrics reporting to management.
  • Candidate will be responsible for managing various initiatives to identify risks and how these risks will be mitigated by the IT teams.
  • Candidate will support the ITRMU’s assessors as well as to work independently with different IT Subject Matter

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide appropriate information sharing and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Schedule meetings with stakeholders, prepare agendas, distribute post meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Prepare documentation on processes such as, but not limited to manuals, flow charts, FAQ, run book
  • Responsible for maintaining group’s shared mailbox
  • Perform data analysis on large volume of data to identify risk trends using Excel or another tool
  • Work with HO, Japan on their initiatives
  • Perform application, cloud and infrastructure risk assessments
  • Provide root cause analysis, along with conclusion on production issues
  • Manage asset inventory
  • Identify risks and critical paths on the projects; track them and facilitate with the team to mitigate these risks
  • Capture meeting minutes.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT risk environment working in mid- large financial institutions
  • Self-starter is necessary, able to work with limited instructions and deliver tasks quickly. Be able to work with agility due to change in directions without impacting to the delivery date
  • Able to think ‘out of the box’ and work efficiently
  • Advance knowledge of Excel
  • Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff. Able to articulate issues clearly and succinctly; willingness to escalate issues where needed
  • Working knowledgeable using Archer, ServiceNow, VISIO, PowerPoint, Word, MS Exchange
  • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Tolerance and understanding of multiple cultures
  • Completes administrative tasks on a timely back
  • Working in Banking or Investment Banking industry; knowledge in banking products and their operational workflows (i.e. how banking products are processed)

Education:

  • PMP not required, but preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
