Junior Graphic Designer Jobs

Calling all designers! Flex your creative muscle by designing for an exciting portfolio of leading B2B and B2G companies. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to jump in with imaginative ideas that turn our client’s brand vision into compelling concepts and impressive designs.

This position will work closely with a Senior Graphic Designer and collaborate with the broader Merritt Group Studio team to strategize, ideate, and deliver the strongest deliverables to our clients—spanning a range of print and digital mediums including web, email, social, video, and photography.

B2B technology experience is desired. Design portfolio is a must.

OVERVIEW

The Jr. Graphic Designer at Merritt Group works on the development, creation, and execution of all branded materials and campaigns in support of our clients’ marketing, programmatic, and sales goals. The Jr. Graphic Designer will help create campaign concepts, production designs, social and display ad creative, website designs and other design activities that reflect and forward Merritt Group’s business and that of our clients. And, like all Merritt Groupers, they have an insatiable curiosity and interest in technology and marketing, including fits into the interactive and digital world of content and media.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Deliver Tangible Results: Has both a strong desire and the ability to chase big-picture campaigns that are thoughtful and positive for the company. Ensure that projects align to client goals. Can deliver high-quality work on concurrent projects with simultaneous deadlines.
• Agency Operations: Volunteer for projects as time warrants; research and bring new ideas to the team’s attention; develop an understanding of all social media platforms and relevant media outlets; and complete and submit accurate timesheets and monthly reports on time
• Design Creation: As a member of the award-winning Creative team, the Jr. Graphic Designer will collaborate with other team members to produce print and digital products, graphic design, digital design, video, and photography.

REQUIREMENTS

• 0-2 years of working experience, including internships
• Proficiency with Mac platform
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Portfolio reflecting experience in branding, presentations, infographics, digital/interactive, advertising and print design
• Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Illustration and video-editing skills a plus
• Knowledge of front-end development, Figma, CSS, UX, CMS, prototyping a plus
• Prior agency experience and/or internship preferred
• Degree in graphic design, communications, or related field
