Requirements:
The Junior Counselor position will execute and support all aspects of the camp programming by working alongside our camp staff. All junior counselors will assist with the general maintenance and cleaning of Woodward camp facilities as well as with the execution of daily programming events and camp processes. Duties will include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, foam pit fluffing, stocking café and retail products, cleaning retail areas, delivering mail, assisting with program events and instruction sessions, assisting with cabin cleanliness, etc. The junior counselor is a part-time seasonal position open to summer campers ages 15 to 17. Campers who are hired into junior counselor position can stay for up to two camp sessions after their purchased session.
BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Summer Camp Season (June 4th- August 26th)
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation from professional, non-relative individual.
  • Certifications
    • Ability to obtain a work permit
  • Camp Attendance Requirements
    • Summer Camp Season (June 4th- August 26th)
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
  • Ability to obtain a work permit
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
