The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Planning & Analysis team directly supports the Chief Financial Officer. The team provides financial analyses and reporting to senior management to support decision-making. The team manages traditional financial planning workstreams, such as the monthly forecast process, quarterly earnings reporting, and budget and capital stress testing analytics.
You will be critically involved in helping prepare financial reports for senior management on key financial and business metrics, as well as conducting analysis to support our budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, you will assist the team with special projects or components of other projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enhance consistency and efficiency across processing and reporting to meet business needs
- Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and present commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
- Report on and monitor key metrics
- Help with bi-weekly and monthly financial planning, forecasting and analysis, as well as budget and capital stress testing analytics
- Distill and refine financial storytelling for business results
- Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Create ad-hoc analysis and presentations for senior management
- Prepare materials for internal leadership meetings and forums (e.g., Business Reviews), as well as external forums (e.g., Investor Day)
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets
- 2+ years of work experience in financial planning and analysis , preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background
- Ability to distill information into main takeaways (both data and qualitative content)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and Essbase

Candidates must be able to physically work in our New York, NY office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
