Job Description
SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study.
Interns will gain practical hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Internship opportunities will be available in numerous IT departments and will be placed within a specific department based on interest, experience, academic coursework and SWBC’s business need.

Essential duties include the following:
  • Work with Infrastructure Systems team on the administration of the Windows servers including features such as ACLs (Access Control Lists), AD (Active Directory), VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), and virtualization.
  • Assists with the Systems team around application monitoring to ensure the correct operational state of SWBC IT Services, including working with monitoring technology (Solarwinds, Website Pulse, Splunk).
  • Interns will be responsible for handling tickets and tracking identified issues to a successful resolution.
  • Gain practical, hands-on experience that will provide an opportunity for growth.
  • Work alongside and shadow team members while expanding your knowledge base with the ability to further develop your skills.
  • Learn key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
  • Organized and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from a MIS department professor.
  • Display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Currently pursuing a MIS Program Bachelor’s or other IT/Computing related degree at an accredited university/college.
  • While most internships are 40 hours a week during the summer, some may be available for those only able to work part time due to other obligations.
  • Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
  • Detail-oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
  • Expected graduation date of August 2024 or later.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
