Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Windows Administrator with over 10 years of expertise in managing Windows-based environments. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Windows systems while leading and mentoring a team of administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server Management:

Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (including Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and beyond) in a virtualized and physical environment.

Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening.

Implement and maintain Active Directory services, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.

Infrastructure Design and Architecture:

Collaborate with the IT architecture team to design and plan Windows-based infrastructure solutions.

Ensure scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness in the infrastructure.

System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to maintain optimal system health.

Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues to minimize downtime.

Security and Compliance:

Enforce security best practices, implement access controls, and manage firewall configurations.

Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and internal security policies.

Backup and Recovery:

Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies and procedures.

Perform regular backups and test recovery processes to ensure data integrity.

Scripting and Automation:

Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell, batch, etc.) for automating routine tasks and system maintenance.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead a team of Windows administrators, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers for Windows-related technologies.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide advanced-level support for escalated issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Proven experience of 10+ years in Windows system administration.

In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and related technologies.

Strong understanding of network protocols and services.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and other scripting languages.

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Leadership and team management abilities.

Strong commitment to security and compliance.
