Job Description
Advantage Home Care is now accepting applications for a full-time IT Support Technician to provide technical support services to our 80+ admin professionals housed in our 25+ office locations throughout Missouri
The IT Support Technician works across company departments and locations as a member of the company’s information technology department. They collaborate with other IT personnel & team leaders to support company operations by installing, repairing, maintaining, and updating computer software or hardware for employees.
Basic job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Support Active Directory, Office 365 and RDS
  • Help Desk Support
  • Assisting users with system access – password management, support & assistance
  • Responding to, tracking, resolving, and documenting support ticket requests
  • Assist with user training, support, & compliance
  • Admin our Cloud-based VOIP Phone system
  • Device setup, inventory, maintenance, management & support
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • ISP / Network troubleshooting and maintenance
IT Support Technician Skills & Qualifications
Basic job skills and qualifications include but are not limited to:
  • Communication & follow up: Communicating & following up up with users, supervisors and contractors helps everyone understand the problem and potential solutions. Clearly stating the situation, following through with emails and phone calls and sharing resolutions will make the process flow smoothly.
  • Patience: IT Technicians work closely with our team members. Patience is necessary for this field. Often the users don’t understand what is happening with their system and may not describe it properly. Patience will benefit the IT Support Tech in understanding the problem and working toward a solution.
  • Endurance & Flexibility: Because IT Technicians can work long hours with complicated projects, the ability to stay focused on the objective is key. IT Techs may also be involved in the relocation of offices, hardware and peripherals that are important to the operation of the business. Must be flexible for periodic overnight trips to setup or maintain all remote offices.
  • Problem Solving: IT Support Technicians often need to interpret a problem and determine the best way to resolve it.
