Position Summary
The Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) organization is in a distinguished position to lead one of Zoetis’ core strategies, lead in digital technology and data analytics as we reimagine animal health. As ZTD executes its digital, data and technology strategy to reinvent how we work in a digital world, we will also unlock new sources of value for our colleagues, Zoetis, and our customers. The Technology Strategy & Architecture (TS&A) organization is responsible for building and maturing core capabilities to run Zoetis Tech & Digital with the discipline of a business, driving a cohesive approach to strategy planning, portfolio execution and value realization while optimizing technology costs, enabled by a workforce planning strategy, and deploying agile ways of working.
A major part of this digital transformation, is maturing our Supplier Management Office which is responsible for establishing and managing a view of our preferred suppliers, establishing a supplier governance model to ensure we are leveraging our preferred suppliers, build a plan to optimize our supplier landscape and establish a supplier relationship framework to ensure we have the right engagement with our preferred suppliers optimizing our partnership and managing SLAs/outcomes. The SMO Lead will report to the head of our Technology Business Management Office.
Responsibilities
  • Define and build a Software Asset Management practice partnering with key constituents across ZTD
  • Establish Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) Model with clear roles and responsibilities, identify SRMs in ZTD for our Preferred Suppliers ensuring Zoetis maximizes value received from supplier engagements.
  • Act as Procurement’s main point of contact for ZTD, ensure all Procurement Processes are followed for all new supplier engagements/contracts. Ensure ‘business requirements’ are provided to Procurement
  • Create and manage a Supplier Landscape Framework – capturing where and how suppliers are engaged across the ZTD organization
  • Build and execute against a Supplier Rationalization Plan – driving efficiencies while optimizing our overall Supplier Landscape
  • Establish a Supplier Relationship Framework outlining a consistent approach to engaging, managing, and managing performance with our Preferred Suppliers (supplier meeting cadence, scorecards, etc)
  • Maintain inventory of supplier spend by category (software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services), cost center and region.
  • Implement a Supplier Governance Model to ensure all new supplier engagements are evaluated against our Preferred Suppliers ensuring new suppliers are added only after existing supplier base is exhausted
  • Establish and manage our Preferred Supplier list in partnership with the ZTD Leadership Team
  • Establish and manage a full inventory of ZTD Contracts, partner with Procurement as the lead for all renewals
Education & Experience
  • Experience building supplier and cost management practices across a global IT organization including successfully influencing and driving change in governance practices
  • Proven experience in successfully leading a matrixed team in the management of suppliers/third parties, including, but not limited to policies, performance, relationships, and issue and dispute resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other relevant field
  • Strong communication and broad influence skills; ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading sourcing strategies and category management with total technology supplier spend of $200M or more
  • 5-8+ years in supplier management and sourcing, specifically related to IT for multi-national global corporations in a position to influence senior level management and key stakeholders

  • Thought leader in SMO practices and provides strategic direction and insights to stakeholders
  • Leads and motivates others, generating commitment and a shared sense of purpose
  • Demonstrates and models Zoetis Core Beliefs in all interactions
  • Accountable for delivery of measurable results with significant positive impact to ZTD

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in Colorado. Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range: $99,000-$143,000
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, NJ Remote, NY Remote, or Washington. Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.
Base Pay Range: $112,000-$162,000
This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
