The Sr. IT Business Analyst is responsible for large scale enterprise level business and systems analysis functions supporting assigned applications.

This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, leading system projects for business units, partnering with business leaders, building systems requirements, providing application support, and managing external software vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, leading system projects for business units, partnering with business leaders, building systems requirements, providing application support, and managing external software vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in IT systems across the organization
- Document functional business requirement and interpret into system designs
- Act as a liaison between technology teams, support teams, business units, and senior management
- Maintain reference documentation for audit purposes
- Define reporting and analytical tools for application monitoring
- Act as the main point of contact and IT partner for the assigned business unit(s)
- Perform the following duties: budgeting, quality control, research, purchasing of assets or software, contract negotiation and management
- Collaborate with project managers, solutions architects and project sponsors to determine project scope and how to execute multiple projects
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
- Define and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement and functional specifications
- Lead the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including system, integration, and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
- Conduct research into on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
- Define and mange a roadmap for all of the applications within scope
- Manage the daily performance and operation of enterprise-level software applications
- Work independently on projects and analysis
- Analyze and determine root-cause for reported system issues
- Perform other duties as assigned

The anticipated salary range for this position is $86,600-$129,800 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
- Proven understanding and experience in project management and exposure to project management methodologies
- Proficient in the use of SQL, Excel, and Access
- Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
- Keen attention to detail
- 5-7 years of experience supporting software applications and software development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Deep understanding of IT systems, integrations and architecture
- Proven understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies as adopted by the organization
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Proven ability to manage large scale enterprise level projects
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as part of the job performance and will need to rely on judgment and experience to accomplish goals
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Extensive knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with retail IT business practices
- Experience with retail applications and principles
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field preferred
- 7 years of experience supporting software applications and software development
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals up to 25 lbs.
- General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to move about an office
