This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for strong PMs to join Humana’s rapidly growing Medicaid business. As a key contributor to the annual AIP calculation, Medicaid has already activated implementations for Louisiana and Ohio in 2023 (now serving over 1 million members), with new work ramping up for Indiana and Oklahoma implementations over the next year.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking an IT Project Manager that:

• Will be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
• Will possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.
• When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value.
• Assembles and leads project team, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
• Actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks.
• Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions
• 1 + years of project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration
• Project Management Institute certification
• Experience in the health solutions industry

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
