It Project Manager Jobs

The IT Project Manager coordinates multiple projects from initiation through closeout, working closely with appropriate campus representatives and stakeholders through the planning, development, and completion of large and small scale technology initiatives college-wide. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

• Maintains ongoing budget and resource management, schedule and plan management, and adheres to compliance and legal requirements within scope from project initiation through post implementation stabilization phase
• Communicates project status to business owners, steering committee members, and other key stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Manages and mitigates risk, change management, and communication throughout the course of a project
• Ensures completion of projects, from request through close out, in accordance with established standards, schedules and budget parameters
• Manages the scoping, planning, and execution of district wide system implementations, software upgrades and process optimization projects

• Ability to manage a project team of technical resources and business subject matter experts.
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology project management
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Ability to plan, establish, and manage multiple projects ranging from small and large scale IT strategic initiatives.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents.
• Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff.
• Strong communication and organization skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations as the main liaison and point of contact for assigned projects.
• Ability to identify and address gaps, gather approved requirements, and establish future state business processes.
