Job Description
Title: IT Project Manager


Location: Remote


Key Responsibilities


  • Analyze trends, develop reports, facilitate communication, and provide feedback on projects and programs performance.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities for our customer projects to ensure compliance with PMO policies, processes and best practices for the successful delivery of projects.
  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and provide mentorship and/or guidance.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and champion the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Create, track and monitor the progress of all project activities and report on status, risks, and issues. Recommend adjustment to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Develop project schedules
  • Provide comprehensive status and progress reviews to project and program manager and senior management to include the development of executive level reports and dashboards
  • Perform work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of projects and perform all functional duties independently.
  • Perform Risk Analysis and Risk Planning for projects when necessary. Additionally, assist in identifying and recommending mitigation strategies for project schedule risks.
  • Deliver Project Management SME support, training, and mentoring.
  • Support the day-to tactical operation of the projects (planning, execution of project, and project deliverables).
  • Support the development of development of Project Management Policies, Procedures, and Job Aids.
  • Facilitate meetings between PMs that have dependencies on other's projects.


Required Skills/Certifications


  • Citizen
  • Expertise in using all Microsoft Suite Products (including: SharePoint, Excel, and Power Point).
  • SAFe 5 Agilist Certification. (Preferred)
  • Expertise with both agile and waterfall environments.
  • Experience in developing and managing a Microsoft Project IMS
  • Agile certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Preferred).
  • Must have experience with at least one Project Management software suite to include but limited to Microsoft Project, JIRA and Maestro.
  • Public Trust
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • 5-7 years of IT program/project management experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience supporting an IT PMO in a Federal consulting environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience or Master's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of experience

  • Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
