IT Help Desk Analyst


Key Role:


Provide information systems support for operations and maintenance of 50+ custom applications. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and contribute to the efficiency and improvement of the systems. Write business specifications and forward to technical staff for system development. Act as the conduit between a user group and an IT development team and perform as an advanced consultant with the capability to excel at client delivery, having developed expertise in a specific area. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital to help the firm grow its business. Exhibit developed relationships with clients, perform as a highly valued leader for sharing knowledge and giving trusted advice, and interact directly with senior-level clients. Develop competency in project management, become more involved in managing teams and formulating business strategy, and guide the progress of projects while mentoring junior staff in both firm and technical competencies.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Experience using Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • 1+ years of experience with information technology or computer information systems
  • Experience assisting with user complaints and issues to ensure accuracy for product delivery
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Experience providing end-to-end requirements for upcoming projects


Additional Qualifications:


  • Experience distilling complex business processes into clear and actionable user stories with thorough acceptance criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using system analysis and troubleshooting to analyze, isolate, and document problems and issues, identify risks, and develop options and solutions

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
