JOB SUMMARY
As a Business Analyst, you will provide the research and data mining/analysis that fuels insights for the Sales & Client Solutions (SCS) team within GWS. In this role, you will directly support the group that oversees the Salesforce platform and the reporting tools/dashboards used frequently by the executive leadership team. Many teams comprise the SCS organization, each with a unique set of reporting requirements. You'll support these teams and, where possible, help streamline their reporting requirements using tools like Tableau, Salesforce, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviews the accuracy of information provided and responds to requests from management and vendors.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau to derive actionable intelligence.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements and formalizes recommendation.
  • Generates, reviews and understands reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation.
  • Prepare formal presentations/reports describing methodology, scope, key assumptions, and results.
  • Prepares and presents results of analysis and reports along with their relative impact(s) to management.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • May coordinate involvement of personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.
  • May act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.
  • Facilitates the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training. Prior experience in the real estate or finance related industry preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to stakeholders. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills. Ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources. Skilled in dashboard design and development.
  • Tableau experience is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Smartsheet is helpful, but not required.
  • Intermediate experience in MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, etc). Heavy emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to use query and report generation tools.

  • Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to coworkers and supervisor.
