As an IT Business Analyst for the Department of Social Services (DSS), you will be an integral part of the full systems life cycle applications development process. Your role will involve conducting testing, developing requirements, coordinating quality assurance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications that meet the evolving needs of DSS programs.

Duties

• Business and Technical Requirements: Develop clear and comprehensive business and technical requirements that serve as the foundation for application development.
• QA Testing Coordination: Coordinate quality assurance testing and acceptance activities among staff, developers, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
• Process Analysis: Analyze and document current systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement based on client feedback.
• Application Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with user requirements.
• Test Case Development: Develop detailed test cases and acceptance criteria to guide the testing process.
• Requirement Mapping: Create test cases vs. Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to align user stories with application development.
• Management Reporting: Provide management reporting and information dissemination to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
• User Story Translation: Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements, breaking down requirements into actionable functionality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to facilitate the development of applications according to specifications and timelines.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience overseeing project deliverables, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Analysis tools such as JIRA, Balsamiq, and MS Visio.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with and coordinating technical teams in documenting business and functional requirements.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing data models and application prototypes, contributing to the development of robust solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, or claims systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Certification in Business Analysis or related field.
