Job Summary:
As an Investment Operations Analyst, you are responsible for various operational activities and interface regularly with traders, trading analysts, ALM team, accounting as well as external industry contacts: brokers, custodians, etc. Your key responsibilities include daily cash and position reconciliations, trade and cash settlements, derivative operations, collateral management, data integrity, and fixed income analytics. You possess strong quantitative and technical skills and have a knowledge and passion for fixed income securities, operations, and streamlining processes. Concise writing and communication skills are very important. This position is hybrid based in greater Indianapolis (Zionsville).
Main Accountabilities:
  • Maintain and update procedure documentation for streamlined processes.
  • Assist on key initiatives and projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure that project deliverables are met.
  • Update and maintain security master data. Compare against market providers and research deal documentation.
  • Conduct tri-party reconciliations between the investment system, accounting books, and custodian reports.
  • Perform reconciliations for derivative positions and trade activity including margin and collateral management.
  • Assist other areas of investment operations during peak workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve all cash and asset breaks working with custodians, investment managers and accounting.
  • Perform trade settlement and reconciliation responsibilities.

  • Experience with electronic fixed income trading systems (ex. BlackRock Aladdin) is a major plus.
  • BA/BS with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Strong quantitative and technical skills.
  • Ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Problem solving mentality.
  • Working knowledge of corporate bonds, asset backed securities, derivatives, commercial mortgage loans, repurchase agreements and bank loans.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in investment management operations, with focus on cash, trade settlement and/or collateral management.
