The Sales and Operations (S&OP) Manager is responsible for driving availably of product at cost efficient levels across the entire organization with a primary focus on our North America Distribution business. This role will ensure alignment between sales, operations, marketing, and finance to drive business growth and drive optimization through our network.


The S&OP Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for demand planning, network and strategy optimization, integration of new business and new product launches. This will be supported through monthly S&OP meetings to ensure team alignment. This position will help define the S&OP process, create standard procedures and lead initiatives supporting S&OP including implementing planning software.


Responsibilities


  • Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends
  • Develop capacity simulation processes to run sensitivity analysis for growth
  • Notify Operations of significant forecast or capacity changes in a timely basis
  • Assist with the coordination, facilitation, and documentation of regularly scheduled planning meetings
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics
  • Communicate with teams about promotions, new products forecasts, and launch timing updates
  • Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of 12 months’ forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Review, store, and backup final adjusted and unadjusted statistical forecasts
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to ensure that the promotions, visible impact orders, and new product forecasts are included in the aggregate demand
  • Document assumptions, promotions, and adjustments to forecasts using Sales and Marketing teams’ input
  • Lead network optimization process to mitigate costs and maximize service
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes
  • Assist in the resolution of key supply-demand/service-cost issues


Required Qualifications


Education:


  • MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for a major in business-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).


Experience:


  • 5-10 years of business experience in Supply Chain Planning
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods and related supply chain management including design, implementation, and execution of S&OP related processes
  • Experience providing data analysis across cross functional leadership


Competencies (skills And Abilities)


  • Strong PC skills with demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Outlook e-mail.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent internal and external customer service as well as the ability to operate as a team member.
  • Strong computer typing skills.
  • Must possess analytical, problem-solving, time management, organization, and negotiation skills.
