Job Description

: Inventory Manager


Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team. As the Inventory Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory levels, overseeing the purchasing process, controlling incoming shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory counts in the ERP. Your primary goal will be to prevent stockouts while optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demands and maximize operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:


Purchase Order Management:

-Create purchase orders based on raw material requirements and supplier lead times.

-Coordinate delivery schedules, shipping arrangements, and manage on-time delivery of materials to the factory.

-Confirm the accuracy of received orders with signed-off receiving forms.


Perform Cycle Counts and Inventory Reconciliation:

-Conduct regular cycle counts in the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.

-Identify and address any losses or errors from production orders processed in the ERP system.

-Reconcile any inventory discrepancies discovered during the month-end closing process.



Incoming Shipments Control:

- Actively track all purchases to ensure they are up-to-date and closed out in a timely manner.

-Oversee the receiving process for all incoming shipments.

- Inspect incoming inventory for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies promptly.


ERP Management:

  • Enter inventory transactions in our ERP software to maintain a real-time snapshot of inventory across production facilities.


Inventory Level Maintenance:

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and minimize excess stock.

- Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and propose action plans.


Preventing Stockouts:

- Implement effective inventory replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts and maintain adequate stock levels.

- Collaborate with sales and demand forecasting teams to anticipate spikes in demand and adjust inventory accordingly.


Software and System Updates:

- “Own” the ERP system. Update and maintain the software to ensure accurate and real-time inventory counts.

- Identify and resolve any software-related issues that affect inventory accuracy.


Inventory Reporting and Analysis:

- Generate regular inventory reports to provide insights into inventory performance and identify improvement opportunities.

- Analyze inventory data to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.


Process Improvement:

- Continuously review and enhance inventory management processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:


- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar inventory control role.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.

- Strong communication skills.
