What you'll do


As an Internal Audit Manager you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, proficiency with IT systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient audit process and compliance for the company. The Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, scoping, process managing, and executing financial and operational audits, as well as supporting SOX and other audit projects as needed.

This role will be responsible for driving our current financial and global operational compliance efforts, managing third-party auditors, and maintaining compliance with corporate policy and controls. This role works across a broad spectrum of teams and may also include interfacing with partners or subject matter experts in disciplines outside of the auditor's general area of expertise. Lastly, periodic travel is required and after-hours duty on an as-needed basis.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Technical Audit.


Responsibility

  • Diagnose operational risks and process improvement opportunities
  • Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as required and assigned
  • Monitor process and policy changes throughout an organization
  • Educate teams about policy compliance and their assigned controls
  • Assist with Enterprise Risk Management and other risk assessments performed by the company
  • Present and communicate status and issues to senior management personnel, including reports and presentations on project findings and recommendations
  • Develop close but independent working relationships with management in all areas of the business
  • Identify gaps with controls assigned to DocuSign teams
  • Assist in preparing the Internal Audit Annual Plan
  • Determine whether artifacts supplied by teams meet policy and control requirements
  • Lead financial and operational audits as well as business process reviews throughout DocuSign operations
  • Develop recommendations to improve financial and operational controls
  • Work directly with teams to develop auditable procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Create and maintain documentation and workpapers in support of current controls, policies, standards, and procedures related to financial and operational audits
  • Support DocuSign's other Internal Audit programs as needed (e.g., SOX, SOC, and Technical Audit)
  • Travel 10-25% which may include national and international travel

Job Designation


Hybrid

: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring


Basic

  • Previous Senior Associate or Manager experience in a Big 4 or public-accounting environment
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

Preferred

  • Awareness of people versus technology as security factors
  • Capable of performing risk assessments and identifying key business and financial risks
  • Ability to maintain composure in critical situations
  • Strong project management competency
  • Focus on internal stakeholder and customer satisfaction
  • Located on the west coast of the U.S. or in Pacific time zone
  • Self-sufficient to manage and prioritize workload
  • Experience with projects involving coordinated efforts across large cross-functional teams
  • SOX experience
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Passion for audit, information security, governance, risk, and compliance
  • Direct experience working with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution-based technology company
  • ISO27001, SOC, PCI or other compliance engagement experience
  • CISSP, CISA, CPA, CIA, or other globally-recognized security, compliance, or audit certifications

Wage Transparency


Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $105,100 - $161,775 base salary

This role is eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
