Then this is the position for you!We seek an experienced Internal Audit Manager to support our Worldwide Amazon Stores Audit team who applies broad operational knowledge and sound business judgment to execute audits across our diverse businesses and technical environments. While you may support audits in any of Amazon’s Worldwide Amazon Stores business areas, we are interested in your experience to help us raise the bar in how we audit and engage with the business in Worldwide Amazon Stores Operations. Worldwide Amazon Stores is one of the largest areas of Amazon’s business, and its Operations continue to scale and grow rapidly, and includes fulfillment centers, supply chain, logistics, transportation, and physical stores. This is a high visibility opportunity where you will gain valuable exposure to many areas within our business, and make important improvements that make a real difference. Our team is cross-functional and you will perform a wide range of operational and technical audits. You must be comfortable performing as a sole contributor and teammate.As an Internal Audit Manager, you will lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of audits based on identified risks related to various Amazon businesses. In this position you will dig deep into the details of your audits. You must be able to understand complex business processes and identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology. You will interact with highly technical operations and software development engineers and business leaders at various levels to collect and communicate information. You will use your project management skills to lead a team and conduct your own audits from beginning to end, often managing multiple projects at once.We don’t want someone who can just find risks. You should be able to translate risks into business issues. You will use your excellent writing skills to succinctly communicate complicated operational and technical issues in business terms. You must prioritize findings and recommendations in tune with our corporate strategy and regulations. You will prepare reports and make presentations to senior level management. You should be able to facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately.This position will be based out of Seattle and may require up to 10% travel.
  • Willingness to dive deep into your own audits combined with experience collaborating on a team
  • Ability to quickly absorb the nuances and behaviors of Amazon's business processes and systems
  • Experience with global operations, logistics, supply chain or transportation.
  • Relevant certifications (CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CFE, CSCP, CPIM, CLTD)
  • Experience with process improvement, Kaizen, and six sigma.
  • Experience writing code, writing data queries, implementing technical solutions, or related skills learned from other IT related jobs
  • Broad technical and information security background
  • Big 4 consulting experience
  • Strong risk management experience, including: performing assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven history of analyzing data and situations to identify meaningful observations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
