Department Overview

The SCA Risk Management department helps to protect the value created by our businesses by partnering with Sony Group companies to identify and analyze risks, and deliver cost-effective risk management solutions to limit, mitigate and/or transfer risk.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Intern to assist in reviewing insurance policies, contracts, coordinating invoice payments, and to participate in departmental projects. This is a year around internship position for those interested in pursuing a career in Risk Management/Insurance. The role will be full-time during the summer and at least 15 hour hours per week during the school year with a hybrid (flexible in-office and remote) schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Risk Management department on ad-hoc projects
• Assist in the reviewing and tracking of the department’s insurance policies
• Coordinate and track departmental invoices and prepare applicable schedule
• Assist with the review of contracts on an as needed basis

Qualifications For Position

• Previous experience through work or internship preferred
• Detail oriented, quick learner, ability to multi-task
• This is a paid internship
• Excellent interpersonal skills through written and verbal communication
• Working towards an undergraduate degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Mathematics, Finance/Accounting and/or a Business related subject matter
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

The target hourly rate for this internship is $19.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
