Information Technology Intern

As an Information Technology Intern at LTi you be responsible for IT infrastructure ongoing management. Infrastructure includes compute, storage, virtualization, could and security. You will take direction from IT management and engineers to complete tasks essential to the ongoing maintenance of LTi's technology platforms.

Schedule:

Our internships are part-time positions, we are not tied to a special time of the year or number of hours per week, although we prefer 20+. This internship is perfect for busy students trying to gather experience as well as manage a course load or other activities. We will work out a flexible schedule that best suits you!

Spend your Days:

• Accurately maintaining the inventory of all information technology systems as well as warranty information, support agreements, modification history, software & service packs installed, and physical location.
• Ensuring maximum network/server/application uptime by developing and maintaining monitoring solutions for hosted infrastructure using PRTG Network Monitor, Pingdom and other similar technology.
• Effectively communicating and collaborating with customers, internal teams, and vendors.
• Responsible for ensuring all computer programs in company use are properly licenses, adhere to company standards, and are always operational and functional.
• Adhering to security best practices that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Adhering to all applicable compliance and security controls.
• Managing multiple tasks and projects to schedule, ensuring requirements are met.
• Performing other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Actively managing Microsoft cloud services including: Azure, Azure AD, m365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Exchange.
• Completing physical tasks including cabling, system racking and working with power whips.
• Managing, building, patching, and upgrading Dell laptops and desktops using industry standard tools.
• Performing daily administrative tasks such as Microsoft AAD and Active Directory updates, email account management, security permission management.

What you must bring with you:

• Associate Degree in Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Any technical certifications preferred.
• Some infrastructure support experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, applications, and cloud services.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at all times
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to life 40 pounds at a time
