Ascena is a leading national specialty retailer offering apparel, shoes, and accessories for women through our brands Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lane Bryant and Cacique. We operate ecommerce websites and over 1,200 stores throughout the United States.
DESIGN SUMMER INTERNSHIP – ANN TAYLOR
Innovative. Artistic. Conceptual.
The Design Intern assists the design team with the execution of seasonal collections, fabrications and colors that maintain the brand identity. The Design Intern will gain exposure to the development, concept, and design of the product line. Other responsibilities include preparing line review presentation materials, concept boarding, fabric and color boards and flat sketches.
QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for hand illustration
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
Exposure to tech packs and hand/computer flats
An eye for trend, color, print and pattern
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point
PROGRAM DETAILS
The ascena Summer Internship Program welcomes top university students and recent graduates to join our team and kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers Interns the opportunity to explore the fashion industry while developing the skills and behaviors necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment. During this competitively paid, 10-week program, Interns will gain insights into to the business through practical hands-on experience, dynamic learning and development opportunities, exposure to industry leaders and participation in a collaborative team project.

Recent college graduate (Class of 2023) or rising Senior (Class of 2024)

Ability to independently secure housing in commutable distance to office location
Available June 5 – August 11, 2023
The salary for this role is $20/hr.
