Established apparel company is seeking an experienced, well-rounded Intern who has an excellent eye for trends and fabric, and is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
Our NYC based Internship offers college students the opportunity to learn about Li & Fung and have hands on work experience, learning from our business leaders sharing their invaluable experience and industry knowledge. Our ideal candidates are smart, hard-working, goal-oriented, creative thinkers and willing to commit to every level of participation. This is a full-time, paid internship in our LF Markets USA division.
Start Date: August 2023
Hour per week: 40 hours
Duration: 6 months
Hourly Rate: 15.00 per hour
Location: New York, NY
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Research retail market for trends in theme, fabric, wash, trim, and style.
  • Flat sketching in Illustrator
  • Creation of tech packs with basic knowledge of garment construction
  • Collaborate with designers to create seasonal trend reports to present to new and current customers
  • Assisting designers in day to day tasks and responsibilities
  • Work with designers to create original embroideries and allover prints in Photoshop/illustrator
  • Keep showroom and design room organized
  • Help to manage fabric library
Skills & Requirements:
  • Knowledge of 3D software (CLO, Browzwear, etc)
  • Fashion Design Majors Only!
  • Team player with a passion for Design & Development
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical skills and strong decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
