CPH has an opening in our Orlando, Florida (Colonial) office location for the following position:
Interior Designer Intern

CPH is seeking a part/full-time Interior Architectural Designer Intern. This candidate would be pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design. As an intern, this candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced architects and designers, gaining knowledge and exposure to various aspects of the industry. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to contribute to real projects while expanding your skills and portfolio. This is a non-remote, in-person position that can be either full-time or part-time depending on the candidate. This person would participate in all facets of the design process, including the preparation of presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.


Duties Include

  • Assist in the preparation of design presentations, including renderings, drawings, and mood boards.
  • Conduct research on materials, finishes, and products to support the design process.
  • Collaborate with the design team to assist in the development of creative interior architecture concepts and solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings and communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Reliable transportation is a must for local deliveries to agencies and pick-ups as may be needed on occasion.
  • Assist with the sourcing and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and materials.
  • Assist in space planning, furniture layout, and drafting architectural drawings.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in hand sketching/drawing
  • Experience in Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, Retail, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Office projects is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in REVIT is required. AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Suite experience is a plus.
