Job Summary:
The Intelligence Analyst, assigned to a specific client, analyzes and interprets large amounts of complex data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and potential threats. The main objective of an intelligence analyst is to provide actionable intelligence that the client and its decision-makers can use. This position can be based anywhere (remote) within the United States – East Region.
Essential Functions:
- Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Collect, review, and analyze unrefined information from various sources, including open source and propriety data, to produce intelligence assessments and products that inform organizational decision-making. Conduct extensive research to identify trends, patterns, and potential threats focused on supply chain security risk assessments of regions, countries, and specific locations.
- Use analytical tools and strategic analytic techniques to interpret and evaluate intelligence information.
- Communicate analytical findings through written reports, oral briefings, and presentations to decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Security Team, other teams, outside consultants, information providers, and other external resources to gather and share information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality to protect sensitive information and sources.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as political science, international relations, criminal justice, or security studies with at least five years of intelligence analysis experience. Competencies:
- A strong understanding of geopolitics, global economics, and world events. Must be aware of historical trends and current events to identify potential risks and opportunities and provide relevant and timely insights.
- A strong knowledge of Supply Chain activities, modes of freight transportation, and actions or activities that may cause supply chain disruption.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Including the ability to articulate complex ideas and findings clearly and concisely and actively listen and ask questions to understand the context of the information fully.
- Strong ethical foundation. Must be able to work with confidential information and maintain standards of integrity and professionalism. Maintain the ability to be apolitical and unbiased.
- Technical proficiency includes familiarity with data collection, analysis, and visualization software and tools (Microsoft Office and Power BI).
Working Conditions:

- Must be able to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure the successful completion of work assignments.

- Regular computer usage.
- Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Travel as required.
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, drug testing, and behavioral selection survey.
Salary & Benefits Information:
Rate of pay: $95,000 / year.
