What you will be doing
Under the general direction of the Director, Financial Solutions, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for extracting, transforming and loading of practice management data, providing expertise to analyze various data types, in order to turn data into meaningful information to support problem analysis and informed decision making using InfoDive models. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for data and reporting accuracy.
  • Interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings
  • Develops and implements data extract, transform and load procedures that optimize data collection and quality
  • Translates data into information that can be effectively utilized in terms that non-technical staff can fully understand
  • Conducts mapping and tracing of data from system to system in order to solve a given business or system problem, or identification of a business opportunity
  • Manipulate data via established analytic models within InfoDive
  • Generates routine and ad hoc reports
  • Monitors for timely and accurate completion of select data elements
  • Analyzes reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication.
  • Develops appropriate data models and/or reports to support customer requests
  • Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the issues within the data
  • Analyzes and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data
  • Performs logical data modeling, analyzing and mining business data to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points within a given process from existing internal or external data sources.
What your background should look like
  • Strong quantitative skills; math / computer science
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to review the data for trends, drawing logical conclusions based on these findings
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Attention to Detail: Vigilant in precision of data analysis in order to draw the correct conclusion of findings
  • Ability to present complex data, findings, ideas, and/or information to enable understanding and take action.
  • Strong work and time management skills; able to work effectively and independently under tight timelines
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Healthcare Information, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Able easily to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in IT and InfoSec to help solve their technical issues.
  • Must have experience managing large datasets and performing advanced analytics (i.e. Excel modeling, Access)
  • Experience in data mining techniques, and knowing when their use is appropriate
  • Innovative thinker and problem-solver; capable of developing new and creative ways of solving complex problems using data
  • Experience using programming language or statistical packages for analyzing datasets - MUST
  • Working experience with PowerBI, MS Azure, SQL and Data bricks - highly desired
  • Three (3) ore more years healthcare data analyst experience preferred
  • "Self-starter" with the ability to work well both independently as well as within a team oriented environment
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Dimensional Insight DivePort and ProDiver

  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
