Job Description
We are actively looking for an experienced Intake Coordinator to assist the Home Health Department in daily processing of referrals for home health services. Considered candidates for this position must have experience as an Intake Coordinator with a home health agency, as this is a specific and detailed skill set.
This is a wonderful opportunity for growth for an individual who has experience as an Intake Coordinator within the home health industry. This professional will enjoy being part of a team of professionals who actively mentor, teach, and work together to provide the upmost quality care to patients in their homes.

BASIC FUNCTION:
ó The Intake Coordinator is responsible for answering incoming calls from providers and patients while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.
ó Document referrals from agencies and referral sources , Entering referral information, coordinate admission process.
ó Assist Client Services Coordinator in obtaining insurance authorizations and doctor’s orders
ó Assist Client Services Coordinator in daily administrative functions (filing, faxing, documentation, computer data entry)
ó Track authorizations from payer sources to assist client service coordinator in scheduling therapy sessions and billing for services
ó Answer phones and accurately route calls; Responds to incoming provider’s and patient’s calls
ó Resolves customer service inquiries which could include:
ó Experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
ó Entering referral information, coordinate admission process
ó Provides excellent customer service to both providers and Patients
ó Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
ó Assists with faxes and emails
ó Maintain filing system;
ó Generate necessary forms;
ó Handle patient inquiries;
ó Other functions as directed by management.

Requirements:
ó Provides excellent customer service to both providers and Patients
ó Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
ó Home Health Experience as Intake Coordinator is preferred
ó Experience with Payer eligibility & authorizations preferred
ó Highly developed organizational skills;
ó Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written;
ó Working knowledge of medical or durable medical equipment industry is preferred
ó Healthcare experience in a doctor's office, provider office, or hospital setting preferred
ó Authorization to work in the United States
ó Available to work 40 hours per week anytime within the operating hours of the site
ó Prior stable work experience
ó Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system application and apply their use for phone and off phone
ó Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
ó Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive
