Insurance Claims Specialist Jobs

Position Summary:

The Insurance Claims Specialist will accept responsibility for all aspects of insurance posting, account review and trending analysis according to Insurance Company/Team assignment and departmental goals.

Responsibilities:

• Process Insurance A/R for assigned insurance companies including posting of payment and non-payment remits & communication, claims processing, account review, requests for additional information, claim questions, appeals and trending analysis as assigned
• Communicate with offices via Teams, phone, email and fax regarding various insurance issues, which may include appeals and requests for additional information from carriers to substantiate claim payment
• Process and resolve claim rejections
• Communicate with other departments, as necessary, via Teams, phone and e-mail regarding, patient billing complaints, claim payment, balance questions and insurance credit/refund as assigned
• Communicate with assigned insurance carriers regarding eligibility and status of pending claims
• Other duties as assigned
• Work with the insurance carriers to reprocess claims that may be paid as non-participation in error

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical claims billing and/or coding experience preferred
• Working knowledge of various insurance benefits is preferred; a full onboarding training will be provided
